About Me

As a neurodivergent, woman of color I know how important it is to find a counselor who understands you. I hope that I can be that counselor for you!

For the past nine years, I’ve served as a licensed counselor, launching my private practice last January. The peace, the passion, the purpose I feel as a therapist is immeasurable.

Since childhood I loved to paint and draw, so I planned to become a professional artist. Instead, right before college I felt called to counseling. I’ve never looked back! I can honestly say, I have not regretted my decision for a single day. Art was a beautifully healthy coping mechanism and way for me to connect with others. Counseling is my calling.

My eclectic therapy approach is deeply rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). That’s because so much of our whole health is influenced by what we think, how we feel and what we do. In other words, it’s all connected! That said, growth in one area will trigger growth in the others. I’ve found the best results are achieved by working in all three areas.

“When we are mindful, deeply in touch with the present moment, our understanding of what is going on deepens, and we begin to be filled with acceptance, joy, peace and love.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

“You can spend a lifetime being curious about the inner world of your partner, and being brave enough to share your own inner world, and never be done discovering all there is to know about each other."

John M. Gottman

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I--I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference."

– Robert Frost
